First, and foremost, we are a Community, well known for its warm, friendly atmosphere. We are a "family" in many ways, working together, having fun together, sharing joys and sorrows together. It is this uniqueness which has generated deep attachment to and and loyalty toward CRT, encouraging members to respond "Hineni" (Here I am!) whenever and wherever they are needed to help the Temple and its members grow and prosper.

We are a Reform congregation, practicing a liberal Jewish form of worship, and welcoming dual-tradition familes. We use Gates of Prayer for our Sabbath services and Gates of Repentance on the High Holidays. These prayer books allow a good deal of flexibility mixing English and Hebrew prayers in our services. At CRT, egalitarian worship is more than just a philosophy: it is the way we live and pray.

Finally, we are a Temple, a vital presence in Central Nassau County, more than a place of worship and learning. Our building is more than just a collection of rooms, furniture, and religious articles: It is a vibrant focal point for many functions and activities.
